A place where colleagues and residents come first

At Settle, our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do. We foster a collaborative environment where trust, respect, and professionalism guide our work, ensuring we make a real difference for residents and colleagues alike. When one thrives, the other does too.

We trust each other to do the right thing, upholding our values of pride, trust, collaboration, commitment, inclusivity, and kindness. This shared commitment allows us to deliver exceptional services to residents, while supporting colleagues in their growth and development.

A strong foundation for growth

Our commitment to professionalism is reflected in every aspect of the colleague experience. Whether you're starting as a housing apprentice or advancing within Settle, we provide opportunities for growth at every stage.

Our award-winning Housewarming Programme, launched in 2023, sets a new standard for onboarding. This immersive week-long induction introduces new colleagues to Settle’s culture and values, equipping them with the knowledge to succeed. More than 100 colleagues volunteer their time to make this programme a success.

We also offer continuous professional development (CPD), with all colleagues encouraged to complete at least 12 hours annually. From Lunch & Learns to the CPD Club, Settle makes professional growth engaging and accessible, supporting colleagues pursuing qualifications like those from the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

To further support our commitment to professionalism, we’ve developed the Professionalism Playbook – a guide that highlights the initiatives, tools, and opportunities available to every colleague to grow and succeed within Settle. The Playbook reflects our ongoing dedication to exceeding expectations and ensuring professionalism is at the core of everything we do.

Recognition and collaboration

At Settle, we celebrate every colleague’s contribution through initiatives like in-the-moment recognition postcards and our opportunity four times a year to hold great conversations ensuring everyone has the support to reach their goals. Our hybrid working model offers flexibility while maintaining a collaborative culture, built on open communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Development opportunities for all

We offer a range of development opportunities to nurture aspiring talent and prepare future leaders. Whether through job shadowing, specialist training, or leadership programmes like the Aspiring Talent Programme and Future Leaders Programme, there’s always a path for growth.

At Settle, you’re part of a supportive and professional community where your growth is celebrated, your feedback is valued, and your contributions truly matter. Together, we continue building a place that benefits both colleagues and residents.
