Valuing everyone
At Settle, we believe every colleague brings something unique. You make Settle what it is, and we want you to feel valued for who you are – your mind, the languages you speak, the family you’re raising, and the story you carry. Our commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) is at the core of everything we do, and we expect the same from our partners, suppliers, and service providers.
Striving for equality
We are committed to fairness and equal treatment, ensuring no one feels less valued because of their identity. We challenge discrimination, remove barriers, and create equal opportunities for success.
Embracing diversity
We celebrate and respect the diversity of thought, experience, and background at Settle. It strengthens us and helps us better understand the communities we serve.
Championing inclusion
Inclusion is about belonging. At Settle, we want every colleague to feel they have a voice and the confidence to contribute as their true selves.
Let’s talk
We make time for important conversations, hosting talks and training on EDI. Recent examples include training for housing team colleagues to understand sight and hearing loss and this video produced for International Women’s Day featuring colleagues across Settle.
Value Everyone
Value Everyone is an open group leading on EDI at Settle. They meet regularly to discuss topics like social mobility, neurodiversity, and microaggressions, sharing insights and personal stories to drive our EDI journey forward.
Putting words into action
We are committed to continuous learning on our path to becoming an inclusive employer. Some of the steps we’ve taken:

Disability Confident level 2
We actively recruit, retain, and develop disabled colleagues and are working towards level 3.

Halo Commitment
We support colleagues in embracing all hairstyles and recognise their importance in cultural and religious identities.

Youth Friendly Employer
We invest in apprenticeships, graduate programmes, and the Kickstart scheme to help young people gain essential skills and experience.
